There are several choices such as the Discover Open Road card (5% cash back on gas and auto maintenance up to $1200 in spending per year, and either .25% or 1% cash back on other spending), Chase Freedom card, AmEx True Earnings card, etc. The one that’s best for you will depend on your spending profile (how much you normally spend in reward categories like gas, groceries, restaurants, etc.).

If you already happen to have a Costco membership, then the AmEx True Earnings card becomes more compelling because your $50 Costco membership (kind of like an annual fee for the card) is already paid for.
